As we begin the new school year we are making some positive new changes in the way we care for our student's health needs at school. Based on the ISBE guidelines we will no longer be able to accept medication for student sunless it is in the original packaging/bottle or original prescribed medication container. IT must be labeled with the student's name, date of birth , and dosage information (i.e. 2 pills every 4 hours). In addition to tjos change. we will no longer allow students to transport medication to and from school. Parents will need to bring medication to the respective school office and fill out a medication authorization form as well as pick up any medication form the offices at the end of the school year. Medication that is not picked up by the last day of school will be properly disposed of by the school nurse. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this information, please contact me.
