MS ART CLUB students are using a variety of spices to create interesting pictures. The Club meets twice a month after school.
We now have access to a class set of IPADS along with the laptops and desktops computers. To maximize the use of the new technology we are asking students to bring in a pair of ear buds or head phones for their own use.
1. Ear buds or head phones do not need to be expensive. They can be purchased at Wal- Mart, Target or the Dollar Tree.
2. Student should not bring in expensive earbuds/headphones as they can be damaged or lost.
3. Names should be written on all ear buds/headphones.
4. Earbuds/headphones should be placed in a plastic bag and student's name should be on the bag.
5. Ear buds/headphones will be used for the rest of the school year.

Nine Illini Bluffs Middle School girls had the great opportunity to attend "Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day" at Caterpillar building CV on November 5, 2014. During this time, the girls had the chance to attend a Q & A session with six women engineers in various fields. Even one IBMS girl chose to stand in front of hundreds of her peers to ask the panel a question.
After the Q & A session and lunch, the girls had various activities they rotated within throughout the rest of the afternoon. Some activities included building teamwork and communication skills. Other activities included innovative robotic ideas from other female students at the high school level, which were applied directly to their community members. For example, they witnessed how Notre Dame's robotics team constructed a robot to specifically communicate with children with Autism, which allowed them to interact without being over stimulated.
The final group of activities included the opportunity to tour the intuitive 3D Visualization Lab to "drive" a Track-Type Tractor. They also used the 3D technology to walk along the assembly line and view the parts being built through varies angles to see the model in "real-life" before ever taking it to production.
