On Friday, March 7th new members of the National Junior Honor Society were inducted. Students inducted into the NJHS were chosen because of their high academics and commitment to helping others through a variety of community activities. CONGRATULATIONS to the IBMS National Junior Honor Society members.
8th GRADE PROMOTION NIGHT has been scheduled for MAY 30th, 2014 at 6:30 P.M. We will be sending more information regarding Promotion Night home in early May.
8th GRADE SIX FLAGS TRIP - is scheduled for May 29th. More information will be sent home in May.

6TH GRADE REGISTRATION - Calling all 5th graders
May 14 is the Middle School 6th grade registration held at the Middle School from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. All in coming 6th grade students MUST have a current physical, which will include DTAP shot. Students may not attend school in the fall with out this. Students entering 6th grade are also required to have a dental exam.
Fees will be collected at registration.
BOX TOPS COLLECTION
IBMS has begun collecting BOX TOPS. So far we have collected almost $100.00 worth of tops. Please collect BOX TOPS and have your child bring them to the MS Office. This is just another way to support our students.
RECYCLE INK and CARTRIDGES
THANKS to all who have helped with our recycling program. We received over $700.00 for school and office supplies last year.
We recycle printer cartridges, toner cartridges, and cell phones. If you have any questions please call the office.
Middle School students in Mr. Schroen's Horticulture Block class prepare for spring by planting flower bulbs.
Middle School students created
their own cell projects for Mrs. Padiak's science class. The students used a wide variety of media and enjoyed being able to use their creativity. Many of the individual projects were on display in our HS Library/Media Center.
MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS' BASKETBALL
The Middle School has 3 teams in Fine Arts this year. The teams performed their speeches at the Local Contest on October 24th.
The teams will be performing at the West Central Conference on November 1st and those teams who qualify will perform their speeches at the State Contest on November 8th in Elmwood.
Our MIddle School students visited the Construction Expo on September 25th. They were able to experience careers in plumbing, metals, driving a fork lift and other careers.
Students in Mrs. Tillhof's science class have been studying Food Webs, and they designed their own Food Web in their classroom.
Students in Mr. Armstrong's Social Studies Class research famous people in history. After researching their famous person, students create a Farcebook page.
Students in Mrs. Sellers English/Language Arts Class use IPads, IPhones, and Lap Tops to integrate technology into their vocabulary lessons. When asked what they thought of using technology with vocabulary lessons they answered, "It was fun".
